powerpoint file missing?

Hi guys.... i have a powerpoint presentation completed on microsoft office
2003 powerpoint ......and have recently bought a new laptop (DELL) along with
Microsoft office "student and teacher edition 2003" powerpoint....when i try
to open my presentation with this new version of powerpoint....... i am
greeted by the message " powerpoint can't open D:\((presentation name)).ppt
because part of the file is missing"..... i have tried opening the
presentation on several other computers without a problem using standard
powerpoint...if such an edition exists!!.....can anyone help !!!!!!!!!!

The first stop after getting a new computer should be to the update sites.
Make sure that the office updates (SP2 etc. are installed on the laptop.
This error is one of the many things that was addressed in SP2.
