Possible? -> Setup itunes on external HD and use on multiple computers?

Is it possible to install itunes on an external HD with the songs also
on this HD, then be able to take it, plug it into other computers and
have itunes start up and run from my external with my library?

I'm thinking it may not be possible but am not to much of an expert in
this area.

I would not recommend it. Itunes adjusts itself for your soundcard and
other drivers. Unless those are identical on another machine, I would just
install Itunes on each computer.

I'm not really sure but would think it's possible. I would probably
recommend having iTunes itself installed on each computer but point the
library to your removable hard drive. For a confirmed answer you may want
