porn bookmarks are added to favorites list

upon log in on my computer internet explorer adds a porn
bookmark to my favorites list and my homepage is
unchangeable and i cannot access hardly any search
engines, google, msn, yahoo etc. i have scanned for
viruses and found that i was indeed infected with a
trojan. I have deleted the infected files and no more
are found, but the problems still exist. what next?

My goodness! I'm not alone. I have a similar
problem. When I attempt to access "Yahoo" or "Google," I
get re-routed to an unwanted webpage entitled, "Premium
Searches." I also had several virus files that were
subsequently removed. I installed "spyware." I cleaned
my hard drive with "The Cleaner." No help. If glean how
to solve this problem, please post a response here. I'll
do the same.

Check your "hosts" file in either C:\Windows or C:\Windows\system32. It may
be redirecting your searches. Rename it to "hosts.txt" and reboot, then try
again.

Download and install SpyBot Search and Destroy from
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?lang=en&page=download

If that fails, send me the link to the best pron sites you find! Just
kidding, of course.

In most cases AV programs are NOT effective on removing Trojans.
