Populating Field With Same Data As Last Record ( ? )

I am entering data in a form... In certain fieds, I often need to enter the
same data as was in that same field in the previous record. Is there a
shortcut for doing that? I remember an old DOS-based database I had that did
this with "Alt-D". Thanks for any help.
