pop ups

Whenever I open up IE 6 (yahoo! home page), I always get
a pop up. Whenever I go from page to page in Yahoo!, I
always get a pop up. I'm currently using Yahoo! pop up
blocker and I have used Google before. Do I have a
setting wrong or is there a certain "virus" thats blocks
all popups except when I go from page to page? Thanks

Isn't that strange? You are using Yahoo and their pop-up blocker doesn't
stop Yahoo pop-ups. <EG>

My recommendations are:
Disable Active Scripting (or at least set to prompt) in IE
Options>Security>Custom> OK> OK out.

Disable Windows messenger service (XP, W2K, NT)

I using W98 or ME then disable WinPopup:
Control Panel>Add/Remove programs>windows set-up tab>system
tools>details>un-check WinPopup>OK>apply>OK out. Re-boot if necessary.

Oh, and I'd use a different pop-up blocker as well... one which doesn't
favor Yeahoo. The Google toolbar pop-up blocker doesn't show such
favoritism. If you elect to download and install said Google toolbar, I'd
recommend you steer clear of using the advanced settings. They get a bit too
nosy IMO.
