Anyone know how to prevent pop-ups? I read something
about closing access to my computer through
something "messenger.svc" or something like that, but
don't know exactly what or where it is.

.
Goto control panel/performance & matainence/addminisrative
tools/DBLclick Services and scroll down to messenger right
click and select properties and change Startup type to
disable. Be aware that you will not be allowed to use
messenger you will have to manually start it. Also you
can use ready made software to block pop-ups. do me a
favor if you deside to purchase an a program dont buy one
from those a!@ Holes that use messager to addvertise there
products with messager. It's like you have to buy there
software just to protect your system from them!

Hope this Helps!

Go to cnetnews.com Click on downloads at the right hand
top of the screen. Scroll down on the page to see
underneath the internet link and click on pop-up-adds and
download free version of Adware 6. This will stop most of
the pop up ads, which I myself am comfrtable with.
