Pop-up window "flies off the display area"

B

Brian B

I am experencing a problem where some pop-ups generated
by AS "fly off the display area".

Some pop-ups generated by AS work normally ... unfolding
from lower-right hand corner until fully visible and
serves their purpose normally. However, other pop-ups
like the one associated with script blocking ... unfolds
from the lower-right hand corner and moves up the right
side of the display until it "flies off" the top of the
display area. When I run netmeeting one such window flies
up the display, and then when I close netmeeting a window
flies down the display.

The window moves quite quickly. I've been able to screen
capture the display and thus read the pop-up when I know
one is coming, but haven't ever been able to click
the "Accept" button as it is flying by.

As a side note, for script blocking, there isn't an
interface to manually enter a script into the AS program
without running it first and accepting the pop-up message.

Brian,

Is your start bar docked at the bottom of the screen? If it is not, then
this is a known issue. If the pop-ups are "flying off" and you have a
bottom-docked start bar, then please reply back and include that
information.

Thanks!

Steve,

My start bar is docked to the left and is set to auto-
hide. Was there a way I could have searched for this
issue somewhere rather than to bother you fine people
here?

Thanks in advance.

I searched the newsgroup text on 'flies' to hit:

"Notification windows issue - IDENTIFIED"

No. A known issues FAQ? Not yet.
Congratulations on being the first to post this issue
to receive a response. You got lucky.

It is no bother posting to the newsgroup. That is what we are here for. At
this time the workaround to your issue is to dock the start bar at the
bottom.

Thanks again for testing!!

There's now a marfer FAQ.
I was in error by 3 minutes in saying Brian was the first.
Thanks for your response!
