pop up blocker

I am unable to open a new IE window by clicking on a link within a page. I
think it has to do with a pop-up blocker but I disabled both the IE and MSN
pop-up blockers. I can't find another blocker on my computer.

In zaz <[email protected]> had this to say:

My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:

How would this second window be opening? With scripting? Is something like
the Google Search Bar thingy installed? Does the page open but open in the
same window? Does it just do nothing?

Hi zaz - Go to Start|Run and enter "regsvr32 /i urlmon.dll" (without the
quotes). After you get a Success message, re-boot. If that doesn't work,
then check out the following article and do the additional steps outlined
there:

You Cannot Open New Internet Explorer Window or Nothing Happens After You
Click a Link

Also see these articles:
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers.htm#new_window
and, Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 may display a blank Web page
after you select Auto-Select encoding http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870863

If you're on XP your can try MVP Ramesh's .reg fix here which sometimes can
help:

You may be giving us an incomplete symptom description.

It's not the Google toolbar which causes that symptom;
it's the Yahoo Companion toolbar (and perhaps others as well.)
