PLS READ Win32:trojan-gen. {VC} ??????

Ok guys yet again more freaking problems i just finished
reinstalling this morning to find this already. I think
one of my disk may have become infected somehow wether it
be windows or some other software. but anyway i have
found this virus using a-vast anti virus i have not
checked it with my nortan yet but i know for a fact that
this virus is in the database of other scanners. I um
unsure of this virus being real because i have read one
site about avast showing this virus in a program by
mistake. and thats about all the info i can find on it.

If anyone has some ideas i would like to hear them it has
infected the c:\windows\system\winstart001.exe and it
cannot repair the file and i am afraid to move it. some
advice would greatly be appreciated.

Have you tried the free AVG anti-virus I recommended a couple days ago?
Remember, you need to turn off System Restore, otherwise it will come back
at you. Remember, too, some of these critters are written to block or hide
from anti-virus programs.
