PLEASE HELP! SCREEN PROBLEM! DARKNESS UNFIXABLE!

I disconnected my screen to clean behind it, and when i re-connected it
everything was much darker than usual, i play java games like runescape and
its practically black!

Gray, did you try to adjust you screen settings yourself? the settings the
screen has? when you unplug it it resets...usually there is an automatic
adjust button.
