Hi guys.

I have a problem and will appreciate any help.
I have 2 computer connected together by a routeur. Computer A and Computer
B. They are setup to work in a Workgroup. I created User1 and User2 in both
of computers and gave them administrator access. Windows firewall in off,
Simple file sharing is unmarked. The computers can ping each other, I can see
both of them on My Network Place from both computers.
My problem is:

I can connect to computer B from computer A and, copy, create, delete, all
files and in shared folders without any problems. But, when I try to connec
to computer A from computer B, I get this message:

\\ComputerA is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you
have access permissions.

Logon failure: user account restriction. Possible reasons are blank
passwords not allowed, logon hour restrictions, or a policy restriction has
been enforced.

Anyone could help me?

Frank!!!

Frank,

With Windows XP Pro, the default for network access is to require a non-blank
password. Did you setup an identical, non-blank password, on both computers,
for the account being used for access?

It's also possible that you have another restriction. On XP Pro, you have 2
Local Security Policy lists, under User Rights Assignment.
1. "Deny access to this computer from the network".
2. "Access this computer from the network".

Hey Chuck

Thanks for the help. Now everything is ok. I can acess Computer A from B and
computer B from A without any erros.
The problem was a BLANK PASSWORD that I was use in both user's computer and
I enabled NETBIOS over TCP. After I did it, everything is fine.
Thanks a lots Chuck!!
