Thank you very much gentelman for your kind answers, you should excuse
me for not making myself more clearer the first time as english is not
my mother tounge.
Here is what I meant...
Before, I used to press the restore button, to restore ie from its
maximized state. (the middle button). Then I used to grab the window
from its bottom right hand corner (when the mouse turns to a double
sided arrow) and resize that window to a very small square on my
desktop.
And after that all the other windows would open the same size, or if
they did open maximized and I pressed the restore button it would go
back to the size which I made before.
It is THIS behavior which I am trying to bring back which I can not.
