Playing of videos that are embedded in PP

I'm using PP 2007 and have had great success with it. I have several videos
embedded in my presentation. Every now and then it seems that they get a
notion not to play in their entirety when I'm using my presentation.

Are they buffering? If so, why? Why does this happen now and then
instead of every time the video is played?
