Play sound with keyboard shortcut?

Larry Kerecman

I just got a copy of Powerpoint 2003 and am working on a presentation with a
number of sound clips from an audio CD. Is there any way to launch the
playing of a sound on demand (not automatically) through a keyboard shortcut
rather than mousing over to the sound icon on the current slide?

I will be using a hand-held RF wireless presentation device that has the
ability to memorize keystrokes and transmit them when a button is pressed.

I will be using a hand-held RF wireless presentation device that has the
ability to memorize keystrokes and transmit them when a button is pressed.

Start the presentation and watch what happens when you press the tab key.
You'll see a dotted "focus" rectangle move from link to link. If you press
Enter, it activates the link that has "focus"

If your sounds are always the first item on the slide, then sending TAB ENTER
with the device might do the job.
