Rock, re: error message query 23rd/24th May by me.
I followed some links posted by you (see Below) and did a clean boot
using msconfig.
So far all is well but have bookmarked the relevant sites for future
ref.

You're welcome Sandy, glad I could help and thanks for posting back. What
was the culprit?

It's best to post back to the original thread, though I did see your comment
there that you solved the problem, and asked the same question about what
caused the problem.

If you can't find a previous thread search for it using Google Groups
Advanced Search.

Better yet I recommend you use a newsreader to access these Usenet
newsgroups. There are many advantages to that. XP comes with Outlook
Express which can be configured for newsgroup access. Here is a link to an
article with info on how to set that up.
