pictures within the body of a message

My brother has been trying to send me e-mails with pictures included in the
body. I get a red x and an outline but no picture. When I send his e-mails
back saying I can't see a picture, he says the picture is there on the reply?
What do I need to change so that I can see the pictures? These are
forwarded e-mails, but I never had a problem with Outlook just now that I
have a new computer with Vista premium.

Try this :
Tools > Options > Security > UN-check " Do not allow attachments ....", and
" Block images and other ........." > OK

I had done that previously. One of the posts I read from someone else had a
reply that indicated that cut and past pictures would not work unless windows
live was downloaded so I am trying that now. Hopefully that will fix the
problem. One of the pictures had a web address in the box and when I clicked

If you send yourself an HTML message with an embedded (inserted) pic, do you
see the pic?
