Pictures - .jpg turning into .dat files

For the past month everytime I try to attach a picture file (.jpg) to my
emails - when recipient receives them they are turning into .dat files
instead. This makes the recipients unable to open my pictures. Maybe my
settings were changed by mistake. Also the .jpg attachments are being added
in the middle of my emails instead of on an attachment line.

You are using Rich Text format?
Try changing your email format to HTML or plain text which are really the
standards.
Tools-->Options-->Mail Format

Thank you very much for your quick response. I first tried HTML and it put
added characters into my email when I hit hard returns. So I changed it to
Plain Text and it work great. Thanks again.
