Using WinXp Pro (not upgraded to SP2) & Outlook 2000
Some recipients report that attachments (doc, xls, jpg etc) are being
received as .dat files and are unable to read them.
I have tried using plain text and HTML in addition to rich text formats. I
even tried using UUencoding instead of MIME but still get the same
complaints. Behaves the same whether I generate a new mail or forward one
received from others.
When I add the attachment to an e-mail from one of the complaining
recipients and "Reply To" , they receive the attachment in the proper
format.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick Pounder
