Picture/Photo Folder cusomization

Help! My New Year's resolution, get photos on hard drive
organized. I have designated "folders' as picture folders
so I can see the thumbnails, works fine. BUT when I leave
that folder and go to another and come back, it shows the
files without the thumbnails. What am I doing wrong? Is
it a one time thing? I have moved all the subfolders of
pics to My Pictures, that doesn't work either.

In Windows Explorer, folder options, view tab

In order to make the view you select stick, do the following. Open My
Computer. Click on Tools on the top bar and folder options. Click on the
View Tab and check the box Remember Each folder view settings listed under
Advance settings
