"you can use your scanner software to insert people in the same picture as
though they’ve always been there" This is a quote from a microsoft technology
page. I've always wondered how you do this. What feature on scanning
programs, would you use to do this. And lastly, what program would you use? I
have Nikon PictureProject, HP Photo and Imaging gallery, Microsoft Paint, and
Open Office.org 1.1.4. (Drawing). Thanks in advance.

If you are working with old family photos...
You can certainly acquire the images with
your scanner. In order to combine various
portions of the images into one project
you need a program that has the ability
to create a cutout (think paperdoll).

The cutout would be added to the main
project. I suspect most advanced digital
image editing programs can accomplish
this.

The following example was created with
Microsoft Digital Image Pro.

Try these links:

If left clicking these links doesn't work....try holding
your ctrl key while clicking to override your pop-up
stopper. If that fails...Copy paste the entire link into
the address bar of your browser window.

Actually, I;ve been posting on OpenOffice.orgs website as well (to see if
there Draw program will do the same, and the one guy gave me an Open Source
program called the GIMP... Here is the URL to the page:
http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=22778&sid=12729f711ca79ae2b100ba13cc66a808

If you download the program, I think you will find it to be VERY advanced,
even for an Open Source program. It's got many differnet things that you
wouldn't expect to see in Open source programs. Is there any way that you
could quickly figure out the program, and then help me out with understanding
how to do my original task? I would use the help in it, but it doesn;t come
with the advanced help.

The GIMP is supposed to be an excellent
program on par with Adobe PhotoShop but
it's extremely complicated.

If you use Google to search, you can find lots
of GIMP tutorials.

Sorry, but I cannot help you with it.
