Photo album input arrives in reverse sequence

I created a Powerpoint Photo Album, then rearranged some photos by dragging
them in the normal view and slide sorter view instead of using the Format
command from the toolbar. Since then all photos in all files are listed in
reverse (last photo first, etc.), and when read into the photo album, begin
with the last photo instead of the first etc. In addition, the contents of
any folder I access with Powerpoint are listed in descending sort order
instead of ascending as they did previous to this event. If all else fails,
I will reinstall Powerpoint.

While in the file dialog (picture selection, etc.), try to right click on an
open area (not on a filename or text).

Then, select 'sort by' and select 'name'. If this does not correct the
order, try changing the view to 'detail'. Then click on the filename column
title once or twice.
