Pgm start but I can't see it... Crazy...

Hi, Sounds strange, but Outlook starts but I can't see it. Using Office XP on
Windows XP.

I start Outlook. It appears to start, I hear drive working, resources drop,
Outlook shows up on the processes list. I see a flash of the title/splash
page. The Outlook Today tab shows up on my Task Bar. But I can't see the
pgm, just the desktop.

A few seconds later the reminders window pops up showing me my to-do list.
I click on the task bar tab for Outlook and it indents, but no program shows,
just the desktop.

All other programs are working fine. I haven't installed any new programs
in weeks. Ran anti-virus, all ok. Uninstalled office and reinstalled,
problem still exsists. Installed Office updates. Windows update runs
automatically. Updated video card driver. No improvement.

Looking for ideas before I re-install Windows XP.

Thanks,
Bruce

Do not reinstall the operating system for an Outlook problem. Start Outlook
again and look at the right lower corner of the screen--right side of
Taskbar. The Outlook icon should be there. Right click on it and uncheck Hide
when Minimized. Put a shortcut for Outlook on your Quick Launch bar and right
click on that and select Properties. Make sure that says Run in Normal
Window.

Hi Mary. THANKS!

Right clicked on the tab in the taskbar and clicked on Maximize and it fixed
it!!

What a great "feature".... Learn somethin new everyday!

Thanks Again,
Bruce
