Personal Folder location

Guest

Due to a rebuild of my system, my personal folder information is in the wrong
file location. I need to change the location. Presently it is: \documents and
settings\tom\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook. Needs to be:
documents and settings\tom brown\local settings\application
data\microsoft\outlook.

Outlook 2003.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Copy it to that location. Or go into your Mail Properties and change the
locations of your Data File to reflect its current location.

Hope that helps.

That worked! I had tried to move the file previouslt, and that would not
work. My reason for trying to move this file was that after the rebuild, when
I try to send a new email, and select from To... box, a message appears that
the address list could not be displayed. The information (the contacts) is
there, and I have tried to set the preference to use the folder, but it is
not working. Any chance you would have a solution for that as well?

Again, many thanks.

Is this what you are trying to accomplish?

From the Tools menu, select Address Book. The Address Book will open in
a new window.

In the new Address Book window, from the Tools menu, select Options.

Under "Show this address list first:", use the scroll-down menu to
select the appropriate listing (i.e., Personal Address Book, Global
Address Book, or Outlook Address Book).

To save the changes, click Apply.

To exit, click OK.
