Performance Monitor Network Interface bytes received/sec shows low

I'm trying to understand Performance Monitor - I just
want it to show me a graph of bytes received by my dial
up modem per second. I just ran a download which ran a
bit over 5KB/second, which Task Master agreed with, but
Performance Monitor | Performance Object: Network
Interface | bytes received / second ran **much** lower
than that with an average shown by Perf. Mon. as a bit
over 77. Can anyone explain if I should be using a
different Performance Object and/or counter?

Bjorn,

Thanks for your reply, but I the two URLs you provided do not work -
even by adding the "_1.asp" onto the end.
If valid URLs do exist at that site, could you repost them please?
