Performance Alerts & Logs

When I start the "Performance Alerts & Logs" Service in
the services screen for windows 2000 server the service
starts fine, however if I refresh the screen it goes back
to unstarted... I have the service set to start
automatically however it never does help!!!!

I have a same problem. Everything with alerts working fine, but when you have to start a program, nothings happen
