PDF Issues

I recently started having problems with opening PDF files. When I click on a
link that goes to a PDF, a dialog box comes up with the option to Open or
Save. The file can be opened if I save it and then open directly in Acrobat.
But if I select open, Acrobat loads but gives an error "There was an error
opening this document. This file cannot be found." I checked the settings for
temporary internet files and it is set to keep 50megs. I tried clearing out
the temp files, and it still doesnt work. This seems to be an issue with
opening files directly. I have also tried to open a TIF image and that does
not work.

I'm running XP SP2 with all the latest updates, Acrobat Pro 6, and Reader 7.

Hi Brad :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

IE browser software defaults Acrobat Reader to "OFF" to display PDF files.
You can restore the setting to"ON" by finding an Acrobat document and then
opening it.

Then click Edit> Preferences> Internet> check the box nect to "Display PDF
in browser"

If still no joy, try the information here:
