PDF form filler

Is there anything I can use with Jaws PDF Editor (or Adobe reader if
need be) so I can fill in forms on the PDF file without having to print
it, write on it, then scan it so it can be emailed back?
Thanks
PS - If there is a different proggie that doesn't accompany either app
mentioned then something else which will accomplish this would be
appreciated.

I just downloaded FoxitReader I could not get the typer to save any
information to a PDF file. Also everything I wrote had high lighting.

Is this me or the program?

Same for me Sam!

Don't save it. Print it to another PDF (using FreePDF, Cute, PrimoPDF
etc).

I don't know think it's easier than using Foxit Reader and printing to
a free PDF creator/printer, but I wrote out a tutorial on how to use
Ghostscript, GSView and Powerpoint to annotate PDF files (fill out
foprms). It's here:

I tried printing to CutePDF as well as Jaws PDF creator and both just
seem to crash the process (i.e. the dialog just closes!)
I am trying to fill in a US Govt PDF form i86x something but think it
may be security protected so am wondering if that is why it crashes
it...? Ideas...?
Thanks

What I find with edit/copy protected PDFs is that the 'print to PDF'
function works, but the result is a completely blank. I don't know what
sort of protection is applied to a form which is intended to have
various fields filled in.

I haven't had any crashes as such, although with some PDF creation
programs, the computer switches into 'DOS' mode for a few seconds (ie
the screen goes blank - which is quite alarming the first time you do
it). Primo and FreePDF do this. Cute doesn't.

I'm guessing whats happening is Primo and FreePDF start up the command
line program Ghostscript and actually use it to do the
conversion/printing to PDF. So when you install those programs you are
also installing Ghostscript or are relying on an earlier installed
instance of it. CutePDF either doesn't use Ghostscript or hides its
use.
