PDF Document Opens As Windows Mail

Every time I try to open a PDF document I have produced, instead of the
document
opening, Windows Mail or a Windows Mail Received message opens instead.
Also I do a search for Adobe and it brings up Windows Mail.
I can open the document in Adobe but when I save it to another location or
attach it
to an email I lose it.
I have tried re-installing Adobe, without success but obviously I can't do
this with
Windows Mail due to Microsoft's idiot policy in integrating it as part of
the OS
which in this case is Vista.

Try looking in your default applications. Sound like some has associated the
pdf extension with Windows mail rather than the Adobe reader. Try right
clicking on one of the pdf files and tell it to open it with the Adobe reader
and see if it can.

I can open in Adobe Reader, that is not a problem but the the PDF documents
have an Windows Mail Icon instead of the Adobe PDF one and when you click
that WM opens.

That's likely a file association problem. Try re-installing Acrobat, it
should correct the file association for .PDF files. Alternatively, right
click a .PDF file, click the "Open With" link, and select "Adobe Acrobat" as
the application to use.
