pcmcia card not available as drive

I am currently running WIn2k Server on a Dell with 2 scsi
harddrives, a CDROM and a pcmcia card reader. All the hard
ware is functional, and worked normally under a recent
install of Win2003Server trial version. I did a clean
install of Win2k, ran latest updates, all still functions
fine (device recognized and working properly in device
manager, and in camera, laptop with Win2k), but now the
pcmcia card reader is no longer available in Explorer as a
drive.
I have no mapped drives, so it is not a problem with
Windows assigning a drive letter that is mapped to
something else. The card reader drive is nowhere to be
found in computer management>Storage, even though I am able
to start, stop and eject the card normally from device
manager. I have one physical drive partitioned in two
drives c and e, and the second physical drive has one
partion drive d. CDROM is assigned drive f and functions
normally. Help would be greatly appreciated.

It is listed in device manager, and shown as working
properly. The icon is there in the systray, and I can stop
and eject without problems. Also is properly recognized (by
device manager) when reinserted. I have a couple different
card readers, both of which work fine in other equipment
with any mem stick I have. I am fairly convinced that this
isn't a hardware problem, just explorer. Thanks for the help.
