Help. I have a lap top PC running Win XP that I want to get files off of
onto my desktop PC running Win XP Professional. I want to do that by using a
USB port to port cable that I have. How do I do this???

Thanks.

You don't. You can connect the two together using parallele to parallel,
serial to serial, or NIC to NIC but USB to USB requires a special cable that
has a NIC built into it.

Hi Jerry !
I tried to set up PC-to-PC with Serial Port connections,
but cannot find a cable diagram
so where to look please ?
And,
would be nice if there was a "knowledge base" or other article I could
use as a comforting guide for this if you have a reference please ?

I am running Windows XP Pro on this PC and XP Home on other PC
I followed the following "nearly to end" but was hoping for some support
info before I continue ... ...
Start
Control Panel
Network Connections
Create a New Connection
Set up and Adv Connection ( using serial Port )
Connect driectly to another Computer

Regards, Frank
