pausing a video clip whilst playing in powerpoint?

Is it possible to pause a video clip that's being run in powerpoint? I've
inserted a video into my presentation but the person who's presenting it
wants to pause it half way through, give a talk and then play the video from
where it was paused without it starting all over again.

Pursey01,
Are you using PPT2002/2003, then clicking on the video should pause it,
clicking it again restart at the same point. That's the default. Are you
clicking on the slide and not the video perhaps.

Hi Luc,
Thanks for your response. After reading it I went back and double checked
and it still didn't work (I'm using PPT2003) so I inserted the videos again
and then it was fine. After a bit of playing around I realised that I had
switched on the 'hide while not playing' function under 'edit movie object'
on the first set of videos, and whilst they were set with that function on
they wouldn't pause, they were switching off instead. I've switched that off
and it's fine. Anyway, thanks for your help, very much appreciated.
