Patition Magic 8.01 Question

Hello,

I just created two new partitions from one large partition with Partition
Magic 8.01. I'm running Windows XP PRO SP1. PM recommends using Drive
Imaging to re-name the newly created partitions since CD-RWriter, DVD-ROM
etc still have their original disk names - with the exception if you're
using Windows XP.

What's the best way to go about doing this?

Thanks!

I don't think that P/M is addressing "renaming" the partitions. It is
addressing assigning drive letters to the partitions you created. This can
be accomplished by using Windows XP "Drive Manager", to reassign the drive
letters to those which you desire.

I always make my DVD drive and my CD-RW drive appear as drive Y and Z. This
gets them out of the way so that if you DO add more partitions at a later
date, you won't have to go through this exercise.
