Pasting a shortcut into a message

Sometimes when I attempt to paste a shortcut into an email message the text
of the link appears and sometimes it appears as an attachment icon. How do
I force it to always display the text of the link and not as a URL
attachment?

Outlook 2000 and 2003.

has ever managed to duplicate the exact circumstances under which it
happened, and many people have ended up looking very silly, or dead, or
both, trying."

If I'm understanding your question correctly - try setting the format
of your message to Plain Text. (Format...)

You can easily change it to plain text and have all text pasted and not get
the attachment icon showing up - but that's annoying! If you have to option
of RTF - you can choose to copy the text only. (Outlook 2003).

I find that if you CTRL+C the url/screenshot 2 or 3 times it seems to paste
the text/picture properly.
