When I turned on the computer today I got a message saying that my logon
password expires in 14 days & did I want to change it now. This is worrying
because I've never set a password!
Any advice?

TIA

Set it to never expire. right click My Computer and select
manage. Then users, select the account properties, check the
appropriate boxes.

Note: "Users" is found in Computer Management under "Local Users and

If you bypass the screen where you put in a password, the blank entry
"becomes" the password. It is about to expire. Do as Jim has said, or enter
a real password.
