password problem

Every time I boot up, my computer says I have so many
days until my password expires. then it says..do you want
to change your password now? I've tried to change it, but
it asks for my old password in order to do this.
(Username and old password, then new password.) I don't
know what password it means, and can't find one that
works. I only have a day left until it expires. Then what
happens? How can I find out what my password is?

Well how do you log on now? If you have set a password then you use that to
log on. That's the password its asking to change. If you never set a
password up, then its blank.

Your 'old password' is the one that you have used to log into that session.
