Partially functional home network

I have 2 PC's, one set for ICS. They are connected by wireless link. All has
worked until I upgraded the ICS to XP.
I did the usual networking set up on both . Now I can ping the attached PC
from the ICS machine, I can ping the access point from both, I cannot ping
the ICS machine. The user symptom was that the attached PC can receive but
cannot send email.
Has anyone any suggestions please?
