Paging File

Hello all

I have been getting errors saying that I either have no paging file, or the paging file is too small. BUT when I go to the performance options to change that, I discover that the maxium is set to almost 1500mb, but still the allocated paging file size is showing 20mb, no matter what I do. Also Windows Installer will not install anything, my ISP will not work, I also had this problem with 2k professional. I had to format, and install NT(which I have now), which of course formats the drive to NTFS, is there a way to format it back? I would be happy with 98 right now, if it would just work. Anyone know of a way to fix this problem, is there way back to 98? Any help would be greatly apreciated
Thanks
Tom

to get rid of NTFS you need to run fdisk and delete the non-dos partition

however...considering that no OS seems to work on your machine
youmay have some type of hardware problem

What I am going to do is address the issue you have that corresponds to the subject of your post.

Make sure that the drive on which pagefile.sys (is a hidden file) exists has NTFS permissions set to Everyone full control. If your Windows 2000 installation is on C drive then likely pagefile.sys is sitting in C:\ the root.
