Page Numbers - Multiple Pages with the Same Number!

I have a large Word (2000) document that has several sections. I am trying to print parts of this document double sided, so I am selecting specific page ranges (i.e 3 - 27). Unfortunately if I tell it to print 'page three' sometimes I get the 'page three' (as numbered in the footer) and sometimes I get page three (as in the third page, which is the contents) and sometimes I get Appendix C which is also labelled as Page 3 in the bottom left hand corner

So, two question

A) When you print normally and are selecting the page number, should you be printing the page number as written in the bottom Left hand corner, i.e "Page 10" or the "10/88" written next to it

B) How do I remove my duplicate page numbers?

Question A - When you have sections set to restart numbering, you need to
specify both the page and the section number. From the Help:

For example, to print pages 5 through 7 in section 3, type p5s3-p7s3

Question B - Not sure what you are trying to do here, but if you want to
remove the page numbering that appears in the front and back matter, then
you need to do this in the Header and Footer view. First, disconnect the
footers by clicking on the 'Same As Previous' button (assuming they are all
'Same As Previous' at the moment). Then delete the page number from the
first (Contents) section, leave it in the main section, and delete again
from the appendices section.
