page jumping up and down erratically

While reading stories on internet or reading or composing mail or doing
almost anything where you need a stable page view, the page moves up and down
all by itself. It's driving me out of my mind. I have tried many pc fix
programs, spy detector software, registry mechanic, etc. Nothing fixes this
problem. I have McAfee Securty center with all it's differnt protections,
all saying they are working and up to date and I'm fully protected. Does
anyone have any idea what causes this.
Also, I have updated my ATI(Saffire Radeon 256MB video board (AGP8) drivers
and software. Computer is AMD Athlon 64 3400+, Asus K8V-SE Deluxe Socket
754, 1GB DDR 3200 memory, WD 200GB SATA Drive and WD 200GB ATA Drive,
computer built for me by Monarch.
Thanks
John

Have same problem - after using IE6 or other apps. for a while all my pages
jump to the TOP and I can't do a thing. I usually shutdown and/or reboot and
then it's back to normal until the next time. This has happened since MS
Spyware (can't remember name) expired recently. I'm also getting "not
responding" (hung)messages when I use MS Money Portfolio Manager. Have a
feeling MS is trying to fix things that don't need fixing!

Yes, I have the Not Responding problem in a few programs like WinDVD and
Incredimail, among others. But ie6 doesn't just jump to the top, it goes up
and down very erratically and quickly, sometimes in a blur and I fight with
it for a while and sometimes I can go back to work for a while until it
starts all over.

Do you have a mouse with a scroll wheel? I've had pages jump up and down
when the wheel was "stuck" in between clicks, or when it was busted entirely
and had to replace the mouse. Or, if you have a wireless mouse or keyboard,
there could be interference issues?

I do have a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. And the mouse has a click
wheel whick I have never tried. I will check this out. I will try replacing
the wireless mouse with a regular one and see if anything changes. Thanks

I did change to a wired mouse and the problem is gone. Thanks so much to
this group and Jon Kennedy! This problem plagued me for months. No a friend
told me it may be that I usually have a can of diet soda near the
transmitter/mouse stand. But I think for now I will stay with the wired
mouse. Now where did I store theose dame mouse pads. LOL.
