The error refers to virtual memory,or lack of.Are you booting to xp cd,then
installing, sounds like youre installing over other windows OS.If youre
booting
to cd (right way to install xp),at info screen press r for recovery, select
1 for
disk C: Or simply type:DiskPart In DiskPart,delete the partitions,create
one,
press ESC key, type:EXIT Reboot to xp cd,select, install xp.

See MVP Jim Eshelman's STOP errors web page at
http://www.aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm and click on the "50: Page
Fault..." link in the left side column.

Because this is happening during the Windows installation I would put
defective RAM at the top of the suspect list. Download one of the
following free memory testing programs and run it to check out your
RAM:
DocMemory http://www.simmtester.com
Windows Memory Diagnostic http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp
Memtest86: http://www.memtest86.com

Good luck

That could indicate a problem with the printed circuit connections in
the motherboard that lead to the memory sockets so yes I would suspect
that this might be a possible suspect.
