page cannot be displayed

I hope someone can help me, I'v just gotten this
computer, with it, windows xp. I can stay online for
maybe a minute, and then I just keep getting "page cannot
be displayed" and that's it. Every site I go to is the
same. What is wrong?? Please help.....THANKS
