P5A USB 2.0?

S

Shel

I seem to recall that my P5A mainboard, gotten in 1998, was a rev 1.3?
Would that support USB 2.0?

If not, there seeem to be PCI boards which give USB 2.0 capability?
But then, how do I patch my Windows 98 First Edition to do USB 2.0?

Thanks,
Sheldon Isaac

No, that board won't be USB 2.0. You can get USB 2.0 PCI cards, but you
should make sure that drivers for Windows 98 are available from the
manufacturer. Native OS support for USB 2.0 is only in Windows 2000 SP4 and
Windows XP SP1.

you're out of luck with a pci usb2 card & win98FE.
the requirements for the usb2 drivers for win98 require that you have
win98se at minimum.
cheers
