P4S533-MX & Norton Ghost

David Shorthouse

Hey folks,

I am trying to perform a TCP/IP Ghost 2003 back-up. This board has the
SiS900 LAN chip and I have tried to use the Ndis2 drivers available on the
Asus web site, but these don't seem to work with Ghost's PC-DOS; complains
about either initialization error or no protmans driver. Anyone ever
successfully done this or can offer any pointers? I have also tried to use a
Windows 98 boot disk instead of the PC-DOS boot files provided by Symantec,
but these also don't seem to permit a TCP/IP back-up.

Thanks,

Dave

Sift through the following GHOST support pages at Symantec, there you
will find info on which methods non-corporate/enterprise versions of
GHOST will support (e.g. P2P TCP/IP only) and other links.
