P4PE memory recommendation?

I have a P4PE with P4 @ 2.4Ghz and 256MB PC2100 memory. I'm really getting
choked by that 256Meg. I'd like to add a 512MB module.

Question: since I can't get PC2100 anymore, can I just slap in a faster, say
PC3200, module and have 768MB? I know if it works it will works at the
slower speed.

I have an P4B533 with two 512MB modules, one PC2700 and one PC3200 and it
runs without problem.

I even put the PC3200 in the first bank and the slower in the second bank,
while you often see the advice to put the slowest in the first bank to force
the PC to use that speed.
