P4C800-E and intel application accelerator

In the past I've always used the Intel app. accel. Am going to be
setting up this new board without using RAID. But I see that the
Intel app. accel. for this chipset is called the RAID edition. Is it
ok to still install it in a non-RAID system?

The raid addition IAA is only if you want to enable raid 1 in the INTEL
chipset raid controller.
What you want is the INF Update utility version 5.0.2.1003.
