P4C800 Deluxe Bios 1010 issues

BIOS v 1010 doesn't allow resume from standby/hibernation
from the (PS2) keyboard, though pressing the computers on/off switch works
(I have the bios configured to use the on/off switch for soft-off.
This worked on BIOS 1008 with the same settings. I've gone back
to BIOS 1008. Does anyone have any other issues with 1010?
Also is there any reason I shouldn't stick with 1008 for now?

I had flashed bios 1010 and also noticed I couldn't resume
from sleep mode. looking through the bios I changed
ACPI 2.0 to yes and suspend mode to S1 from Auto.
Now my computer resumes from sleep mode.
I normally only change 1 item at a time, but decide to
go for it. I suspect the S1 did the trick. haven't tried S3.

S3 is MUCH better, since everything is off except your RAM. Harder to
implement though, but unless you have ancient hardware it should work
fine. S1 is basically the same as just turning off your monitor.

Yea, I figured that out, all my fans were still running after going into
sleep. It went in and out of sleep as fast as turning my monitor off and on.
Tried S3 and it didn't work. Funny thing is the first time I tried S3 my
computer went to sleep mode but woke right up. So I tried it a second
time and it acted like it had found a new USB device. And then did the
same thing. The third time it went into sleep mode and I couldn't wake it
with the keyboard and had to use the power switch. When it came back
up there was a message about a high speed USB device on a low speed
port. I've changed back to S1 and haven't seen that message, actually
that's the only time I've ever seen it. I normally don't use sleep or
hibernate and was just curious about it.

Jim,

I tried using the settings and only could get a resume from sleep from the
keyboard.
I will keep tinkering with it, thanks for the information. What is S3 and
S1?
