P4C800-E Deluxe Bios 1010 (Final/B4)

Hey everyone,

I've an ASUS P4C800-E DLX
P4C 2.8GHz (cooled by Zalman CNPS7000Cu)
2 * 512MB DDR400 CL2.5

since I've upgraded to BIOS 1010 (Final/Beta4) I have sporadicle reboots
(doin' nothing more than play a videostream with real playaer) with bios
resets to default values! Then my system sporadic tell me "system error due
to overclocking", but EVERYTHING is @default values (expect that I turned
off Promise RAID and COM/LPT Ports). CPUtemp is at 40°C on HIGHest Load
(Prime95), read with asus probe.

Does anyone have the same problems?

thanx

Chris

So you know what it is. Go back to your previous version until ASUS
gets it fixed or live with it if it fixes more severe problems for
you. It's up to you.

Yes, sorry for beeing angry and thanks for your humor. It is always a
help to know others have the same problem. I was just pissed off by
asus because of the problems with p4P800 bios and think of changing to
a P4C800E (no 3COM!) and had to find out they do the same heavy
mistakes with the 1010 bios too.
So I guess, I will switch off my PC until November and see, whether
they made it or not. I'm tired of beeing misused as a tester for alpha
state soft- and hardware.
Since I do not have a P4C800 I have other problems with my board but
cannot contribute to your problem.

Das wird wohl das Beste sein, aber nie wieder anmachen, wenn die Teile
getestet sind, dann sind sie veraltet ... traurig aber wahr! :)
