Ownership of a task

Hi,
I am a owner of the task, i am assigning the task to my colleague and he
will giving me the update.

My question is the owner of the tass should only mark is as completed once
he is satisifed with the work done by the assignee and once it is marked
completed it should get updated in his todo list.

Pl suggest how to configure this ........

Thanks & Regards,
Srinivas

That is not how Task Assigning and ownership works.

When a Task is Assigned the new Owner has control of it. They can chose
when to mark it complete. The delegator can choose to keep and updated copy
on their Task List and get a notification when the Task is Completed by the
Owner.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

Dear Judy,

See i am a busy man and i will be assiging lot of task to many people and if
they start marking it as completed then my purpose will not be served and it
will be difficult for me also to track who all are ticking.

Rather i wish that i have the only authority to mark it completed.

Is there anyway to do it?????

why is it difficult to know who all are ticking?

In your Tasks folder look at the Owner column and the % complete column and
you will see a lot of usefull data about each Task.

Do this by turning on the Advanced Toolbar and using the Field Chooser to
drag the fields into the Tasks folder table.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!
