Outlook's new navigation pane

Why doesn't Outlook 2003 allow me to adjust the size of Favorite Folders and
Mail folders in the Navigation Pane? That is highly irritating! I should be
able to adjust that pane like I do my preview pane, etc. The only way to
adjust in this version is by removing or adding folders to the Favorites
Folder. I want more versatility and control than that!

I would like the option to control the size of the panes
WITHIN the navigation pane. Meaning, if for some reason,
I want more of my favorite folders showing, or less, I should
be able to control that pane size (vertically).

Since I never use the Mail view, what happens when you get more folders than
will display? Do you get a scroll bar?
