Outlook won't send from contact list

I have a really strange thing going on with Outlook 2007...I have Vista
Ultimate, new Dell computer. If I pick an address from my outlook contacts
address book, it will not send it. It will sit in my outbox forever. It does
not show up in the "sent" folder. If I manually type only the e-mail address
it will send it. I have spent hours on the phone with my ISP & Dell support.
Nothing has worked. When I go to close Outlook, it tells me I have messages
that have not been sent yet, and it will finally time itself out & close.
When I open it, there is an error message that says "a data file did not
close properly the last time it was used & is being checked for problems." It
goes through it's check, but it doesn't come up with anything. I can't be the
only one with this issue. Help

It might be a corrupt data file. Try running scanpst.exe on it. If that
doesn't help try a new profile and new data file.

The same thing is happening to me and my husband. I'm also on Vista, Outlook
2007, he is using XP, Outlook 2003.

It's really frustrating.

Thanks for your response. It did not work, though.
It did make repairs, but it didn't fix the issue.
I use the same "address book" data file for work & home, and sync it to my
hand held. It's frustrating to have to work around the addresses all the
time. This data file works fine on my other computers. It's my new one that
has the issue. It looks like people are having this issue, too.
Thanks again

Try re-resolving the mail address in the Contact's record and try again.
I'd do this by erasing the mail address, saving the contact, then adding the
address again.
